Patrick Sullivan Campaigns for Treasurer-Tax Collector – Lake County Record-Bee
LAKE COUNTY – The official application period for the position of Lake County Treasurer – Tax Collector ended on Wednesday, March 16. Patrick Sullivan received the endorsement of the five Lake County Supervisors and the Mayor Pro Tem of the Town of Lakeport and the Mayor. of the town of Clearlake. Additionally, many representatives from various Lake County communities have added their names, and more are arriving every day.
“I’m honored to have received so much support so early in the process,” Sullivan said. “I believe people appreciate the in-depth and relevant knowledge I have gained over the past 3+ years working on many of Lake County’s priority financial issues. These areas include vacation rental occupancy tax, property tax auctions, professional investment management, and $20 million in Prop 64-related revenue, including grants and taxes.
Sullivan’s previous work as the Mendocino County Treasurer – Tax Collector’s Office and as an elected Trustee of the Mendocino County Employees Retirement Association, coupled with his work in Lake County, qualifies him as only for this post.
Bruno Sabatier, Lake County Supervisor for District 2, said, “Patrick’s background and experience make him the most capable candidate to steer the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector in the right direction. »
“My priorities as the next Lake County Treasurer-Collector are to build and retain an experienced team; modernize payment options and processing; facilitate user access online; streamline the collection of overdue taxes; prioritize sales by tax default; and maintain strong collaborations,” Sullivan explained. “As Lake County Treasurer – Tax Collector, I will continue to strengthen Lake County’s financial resources to improve the lives of all Lake County residents.”
“I also look forward to working closely with current Treasurer – Tax Collector Barbara Ringen as she heads into retirement to ensure a smooth transition for everyone,” Sullivan added. .
Sullivan is a Northern California native, licensed attorney, holds a BA from the University of California, San Diego and a JD from Golden Gate Law School. He and his wife, Andrea, a Lake County business owner, live in Lakeport and enjoy raising their family in the vibrant Lake County community.
Sullivan will hold a campaign kick-off meeting Friday, March 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 390 N. Forbes St., Lakeport. Light refreshments will be served. Sullivan will be available to discuss his background and experience, his priorities for the future and to gather feedback from the public.
